A couple of you should know that I went on a date with Samantha, last night. For those of you who don’t … well, I did. The night got off to a pretty rocky start with me running late because my mother took my little brother to get some dinner right before I was supposed to leave to go pick her up. So, I was about a half-hour late picking her up. And as they say, things always get worse, before they get better …

We decided where we wanted to eat, and went there. Unfortunately, pretty much the entire Emma Sansom High School Band was there. There was apparently a band performance last night, and the whole band decided to go to Applebee’s for dinner. So, it was swamped. We left and tried to find another place to eat, and eventually just said forget it and went back. Well, when we walked through the door, my most recent ex-girlfriend was standing right there. And those two don’t get along well … at all. So, we left again. This time deciding on Shoney’s for dinner, and that’s where we went. We got to have a nice quiet dinner and talk for a while. We were the last people to leave as the place was closing.

Later, we met up with some of her friends and went to go watch some movies. She fell asleep on me during the second one, so after it was over, I took her home. By then, it was now 4:30 this morning. I have to say that I really enjoyed myself, though. It’s a breath of fresh air to be back in a good relationship, again …
