Daily Thought: Feelings

Please be sensitive to the feelings of others. Don’t compromise your own feelings, but don’t let their (or your) irrationality allow you to be blinded by the fact that they have feelings too.

Sidenote: If you’re reading this, Dr. Mom, I’m sorry about what happened before. Oh, and this entry isn’t about that incident, but something more recent. Completely unrelated to what happened with us. ;)

Dear McDonalds

I understand the whole “equal opportunity employer” thing, but please … For the love of all that’s good in this world, save your customers their sanity by ensuring that you hire people that can actually understand normal spoken English. Being able to have someone say “I’ll have a #10″ and them get it, but that’s ALL that they get, doesn’t cut it.

And another thing. Hire people that can READ. If that little screen says this order has a certain number of item x and drink y, dangit I better have a certain number of item x in my bag you better be handing me drink y when I get to the window. As a former fast-food employee, I find this insulting, because I worked at a store where the employees were not quite this incompetent. You’re giving those of us who do understand English and can read a bad name.

Please stop.

Daily Thought: Extremist

Don’t be extremist to the point that you put people off. Having your own individual views is one thing, pushing them on to another person who clearly doesn’t believe what you do, is another. People have different opinions. It’s what makes us unique as individuals. But, taking what should be a philosophical viewpoint and creating a religion out of it is just defeating the purpose now, isn’t it?

Daily Thought: 6 Days to May

Just finished up the last of stuff for this evening and I’m heading off to sleep … but, I wanted to make a note that May is drawing ever so closer, ever so quickly.

Where the heck is the time going? In one sense, I wish it could come faster (I’ll be with Ruzena soon). In another sense, I wish it would slow down. All in all, I’m starting to feel more comfortable with our standing, from a high-level stand-point. So, bring on May. Specifically, May 3rd.

Ahh … Time for bed … and another long work day, tomorrow. Goodnight.

Daily Thought: Absolutely Freaking Amazing

… and that’s all I can say about that. For now, anyway. Let it be known that Shaun Shepard is the best Designer I’ve ever met in my life, though.

I’ll scuttle off now, before I say too much.

Daily Thought: Productive

I’m feeling super productive, today … I think it’s because I’m really happy already, this morning.

Thank you, sweetie.

Daily Thought: Frontal Cranial Explosion

If I see or hear one more person say something along the lines of “PHP is not suitable for enterprise development” with absolutely nothing to back this claim up, one more time … I think I’m going to have multiple aneurysms and the pressure that will build up in my frontal lobe will cause a massive explosion capable of sending skull fragments careening through solid titanium.

This is ridiculous, people. If you’re going to say something so absurd, at least have the common courtesy to come up with something to back it up with. So people like me aren’t consistently smashing our faces against nearby hard objects in an attempt to erase the stupidity you just injected into our minds.

I would appreciate it. Thanks.

Daily Thought: Or Lack Thereof …

Is there a disease associated with sleeping too much? This is really getting old. That bed is just too comfortable for my own good …

Daily Thought: Insomnia

I got about four hours of sleep and then woke up because it was too hot … After that, I couldn’t get back to sleep.

Insomnia sucks.

Daily Thought: Hah!

I’m sexy!

Take that, Sesshomaru!
