Blast you, DRM!

Hundreds of perfectly legal, paid for songs, completely unusable. Computer went toast. So did all of the music I bought from online stores like Napster and iTunes. None of it will play in Linux. DRM is lame.

Stackin’ ‘em Up

So, I’ve got an exciting week coming up. Monday night is the Blind Guardian concert, Thursday is Thanksgiving, Friday is the Jim Brickman concert. And besides that stuff, I’ve still got plenty of work to do. I’m excited about both concerts, but neither will compare to a certain personal concert I got, yesterday. Thank you “Z” ( :P ) … You’re amazing. :)

Today has generally been pretty decent, overall. Outside of this blaring pain in my neck, anyway. I just got up from a nap that unfortunately didn’t solve the problem at all.

Currently, working as usual. Waiting for a certain beautiful lady to come back … and allow me to briefly escape from the bitter coldness of the rest of the world.

Ironic

(Three… Wow.)

I can honestly say that it’s been a long time since something this ironic has happened (bar the actual incident itself). I haven’t actually been able to listen to any music for a while … If I wasn’t too depressed, I just plain forgot. So, my playlist is very random and shuffled, and it automatically picks a random song when I open Winamp. Of all the songs it could pick (over 450), it picked Cold by Crossfade. For those of you who don’t see the irony in this, it’s probably because you’ve never heard it. Well, here are the lyrics.

Irony aside, it’s a really good song. I recommend it.

Booked Nov. 18th

To all my loyal fans out there who want me to make guest appearances in various places, I have to apologize, but I’ve already been booked for the evening of November 18th …

In all seriousness, we just bought the tickets to the Blind Guardian concert. :D Three tickets: $85.34 … Not bad, I think. I was expecting them to be way more than that. I know what we’re doing in November, already. :P

Daily Thought: I’m Alive

My mood right now can only be described by one of my current favorite songs …

YouTubing …

… if that’s even a word.

I took a quick trip to YouTube from a friend’s blog who had linked to the Zidane headbutt video, but YouTube had to take it down because FIFA complained and such. Anyway, I peeked around and found a rendition of “To Zanarkand” that this girl played on piano. But, that’s not what got me. There’s a handful of good pieces that this other kid plays that I found. And I’m going to share one here with you. To save 56k’ers like my sweetie Onyx, I’ll break this up so it doesn’t show up on the index.

Blind Guardian USA Tour

So, I found out today from an old friend of mine, the same one that originally introduced me to Blind Guardian, that the band was going to be taking a Tour of the States. And they’ll actually be coming to my state, now that I don’t live in nowheresville Alabama, anymore. Tour information is on the website, for those who are interested: Blind Guardian Website
