Dear McDonalds

I understand the whole “equal opportunity employer” thing, but please … For the love of all that’s good in this world, save your customers their sanity by ensuring that you hire people that can actually understand normal spoken English. Being able to have someone say “I’ll have a #10″ and them get it, but that’s ALL that they get, doesn’t cut it.
And another thing. Hire people that can READ. If that little screen says this order has a certain number of item x and drink y, dangit I better have a certain number of item x in my bag you better be handing me drink y when I get to the window. As a former fast-food employee, I find this insulting, because I worked at a store where the employees were not quite this incompetent. You’re giving those of us who do understand English and can read a bad name.
Please stop.

Wow, interesting comment, I absolutly agree with you. Your story reminds me of this one time that I tried ording a burger with no pickle, and as any other red blooded American would do, I asked for my order to be repeated back to me. What a mistake!! I set there for, I don’t know how long, because for some reason, the guy on the other side of the speaker didn’t know what a pickle was. He kept saying pickle, pickle, in a very spanish accent. What a day!!
