I received resumes from and interviewed people who claimed to have 5+ years in programming, including languages besides PHP. 2. I've seen the language used for a lot of different things and I've personally used it for a lot of different things. I was looking for someone who is proficient at using it for what it's <em>designed</em> to be used for. 3. I don't think the pay we were offering was at all unreasonable. Matter of fact, depending on the level of experience, it could've been considered reasonably high. Oh, and I am a PHP Developer. I have been for quite a number of years now. I guess that means I rock. 1. I received resumes from and interviewed people who claimed to have 5+ years in programming, including languages besides PHP.

2. I’ve seen the language used for a lot of different things and I’ve personally used it for a lot of different things. I was looking for someone who is proficient at using it for what it’s designed to be used for.
